Welcome to Route to Longevity – a place where you’ll find nutritious recipes, science-backed tips, and simple, practical habits for a healthier, longer life.

I’m Vladka, and I created this blog because I believe healthy living is simple – when you stick to the basics.

Eat well.
Stay active.
Appreciate the little things.
Spend time with loved ones.
Connect with nature.
Nourish your body and mind.

These habits may seem small, but together they pave the way for a long, vibrant life. Yet in today’s hectic world, it’s easy to forget them.

That’s why I started Route to Longevity
to gently remind you that even on the busiest days, there are always small steps you can take to feel better, live better, and age gracefully.

Our motto?

Eat Well. Live Long.

What You’ll Discover on Your Route to Longevity:

Nourishing recipes that are both delicious and nutritious.

Eating for longevity doesn’t have to be complicated. For me, it’s about using simple, wholesome ingredients and turning them into meals that nourish the body and soul. I love drawing inspiration from the world’s longest-living cultures – from Sardinia, Ikaria, Nicoya, and Okinawa. You will find cozy bowls of Sopa Negra from Costa Rica, fresh Pico de Gallo, and my favorite Chifrijo, alongside classics like Sardinian Minestrone Soup or Okinawa Soba or Japanese Ninjin Shirishiri from Japan. And I could never forget Greece, I love sharing Mediterranean favorites like Briami or Politiki Salata.

On Route to Longevity, you’ll also find recipes from around the world that are both healthy and deeply comforting, like Hungarian Husleves, a golden chicken soup from my childhood, or Gzik, a humble Polish cottage cheese spread that reminds me of home.

And then, there are the recipes that bring me closest to nature. I truly believe herbs and the old art of foraging hold a kind of wisdom. They remind us to slow down and live in tune with the seasons. Whether it’s a bowl of iron-rich Nettle Soup, a tangy Nyponsoppa (rosehip soup), or a fragrant Pesto di Aglio.

More about Vladka

Living in the alpine region, surrounded by mountains and wild herbs, helped me reconnect with what truly matters. I’ve always been drawn to nature’s quiet healing power. The way a walk in the woods or a handful of fresh herbs can change how we feel. My fascination with foraging and holistic health grew into a deep curiosity about how lifestyle and environment shape longevity.

With a background in pharmacy, I’ve come to believe that real wellness starts in the everyday choices we make, the food we eat, and the way we live. Route to Longevity is my way of sharing that belief: that health can be simple, natural, and deeply fulfilling.
